Allowable Tensile Load

Maximum tensile load that an umbilical, at a given bend radius, can be loaded to without infringing design criteria or suffering loss of performance. See Figure 1. NOTE Allowable tensile load decreases with decreasing bend radius and will vary depending on internal pressure and condition, i.e. safety level.
