Bottom-Supported Drilling Vessels
Drilling vessels which float to the desired drilling location and are either ballasted or jacked-up so that the vessel is supported by the soil on the bottom while in the drilling mode. Rigs of this type include platforms, submersibles, swamp barges, and jack-up drilling rigs.
