Breaking Line (Break-out Line, Make-up Line, Jerk Line, Snap Line)

A wire rope or fiber rope or chain, one end of which is secured to a tong handle and the other end attached to or wound on a mechanical device to impart a pulling power on the tong leverage arm or handle.
