Cathodic protection

A technique to prevent corrosion of a steel surface by making the surface to be the cathode of an electrochemical cell.

Cathodic protection

Type of protection that prevents external corrosion; it consists of setting up a current around the line or vessel to reverse the flow of electrons and thus inhibit corrosion.
