Competence/Competent

The combination of skills, experience and knowledge of a manager or member of the workforce that has been confirmed through assessment.

Competence is assessed for an individual in a post that has a clearly defined profile setting on the job requirements. Competence is regularly re-assessed with a frequency determined by the criticality of the role.
