Confining Zone

“Confining zone” means a geological formation, group of formations, or part of a formation that is capable of limiting fluid movement above and below an injection zone.

Confining Zone

Confining Zone―the impermeable geologic formation that is located below the base of the USDW and which directly overlies and is contiguous with the injection zone.
