Electrical classification of areas
For the purpose of this document, locations are classified according to API RP 500: Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities; or API RP 505: Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities Classified as Class I, Zone O, Zone 1, and Zone 2.
