Ex scheme

An international system of certification for explosion-protected electrical apparatus administered by the IECEE and described by IECEE-04. The eventual goal of this scheme is that a manufacturer of hazardous location electrical apparatus would be able to obtain a single ‘Ex’ Certificate of Conformity from one Certification Laboratory and provide that product in any participating country without legal or technical obstacle and without the need to get it recertified locally.
