Process hazards analysis (PHA)

Process hazards analysis (PHA) is the application of one or more analytical techniques that aid in identifying and evaluating process hazards.

Process Hazard Assessment.

An organized and systematic methodology to identify the potential hazards associated with a particular operation, piece of equipment, or total system. Processes commonly used are:

  1. What if
  2. Checklist
  3. HAZOP
  4. FMEA
  5. FTA
