Structural Component, Component

Physically distinguishable part of a member cross-section of uniform yield strength. NOTE The cross-section of a non-tubular member is usually comprised of several structural components. A component consists of only one material. Where a plate component is reinforced by another piece of plating, the reinforcement can be of a different yield strength.
